Though we cannot physically gather, we want to provide an opportunity for individuals, families, and small groups of friends throughout California to watch HOPE’s global virtual event in unison. Given that the global event will be broadcast at a time that may not be convenient for CA participants, we are hosting a special 30-minute interactive Zoom event for CA viewers only.
We encourage you to tune in to our live Zoom event at 6:30 p.m. (a 10-minute warm-up video will run starting at 6:20 p.m. to enable participants to test their equipment so they won’t miss the fun). The 30-minute Zoom event will include interactive games and polling and updates from Peter Greer and Lance Wood on the impact California’s residents have made during this challenging pandemic year. We will stay on the zoom line to watch the rebroadcast of the global virtual event from 7-8pm and have a closing benediction together before signing off.
Invite your children, neighbors, or a few close friends to share the experience, and make a night of it!
Out of abundant concern for our guests, we have decided to pivot this year to a strictly virtual event format, complying with all state or federal orders regarding assembly. If you are comfortable inviting family members, friends, or neighbors into your home, click our Host Home icon for recommendations and downloadable resources to enhance your experience.
Because we will not be meeting as a large group, we elected not to host an auction this year. We are looking forward to resuming live or silent auctions again in 2021. Please visit our thank you page to donors and vendors who have contributed items, experiences, or services to previous HOPE auctions.
The global virtual event will be posted on our website following its conclusion, and anyone who registered for the event—whether or not they were able to attend live—will receive an email with a link to view the event.
Donations can be sent to our Lancaster, PA, mailing address:
HOPE International
227 Granite Run Drive, Suite 250
Lancaster, PA 17601
Please note “CADREAMS2020” on the check. To qualify for the match, donations can be sent either prior to the event or within the week following the event. Some generous donors have provided a local California match of $250,000 to assist in meeting our California financial goal of supporting over 53,800 families in our network ($1,000,000). Following the conclusion of the global virtual event, HOPE will also be promoting a week of giving from October 16 - 23 to meet a larger global goal to extend financial access and the hope of the Gospel.
No, the experience is free to all. If you are interested in hosting at your home, please visit our host icon for more information about getting the host kit online. We encourage you to make a fun night of it, perhaps creating a theme night around the culture of one or more of the HOPE programs (African, Asian, Caribbean, Eastern European, or South American).

At HOPE, our efforts to love and serve families in poverty are rooted in our allegiance to our Lord and Savior and our desire to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Believing that true transformation can only come from a relationship with Jesus Christ, HOPE engages in culturally appropriate discipleship in each of the countries in which we work. HOPE is committed to hiring Christian staff and equipping them to be disciple makers in their communities, and we seek to partner with local churches in each of our areas of operation to provide those we serve with ongoing discipleship and support.
Staff members in the U.S. share in times of prayer and devotions four days a week. Often, individual departments take that a step further. The administration team meets weekly for Bible study and prayer. These are just a few examples of how we encourage one another to grow in our relationships with God.
We offer HOPE Trips throughout the year to several countries of operation, and we’d love for you to join us! Learn more at hopetrips.org.
The HOPE network includes HOPE-managed programs and partners in Burundi, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Malawi, Moldova, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, the Republic of Congo, Romania, Rwanda, Uganda, Ukraine, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. HOPE also serves in a country in Asia whose name has been withheld for security.
Homes for HOPE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that invites members of the building industry to do what they do best—build a home—to help alleviate global poverty. H4H helps builders recruit their trade partners—subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants—to build a Home for HOPE on a largely pro bono basis (donated labor, materials, and consulting services). Builders contribute their net revenue, typically between $40,000 and $300,000, to HOPE once the home is sold.
In many countries, we partner with other organizations to effectively minister to physical and spiritual poverty in underserved areas. We believe that like-minded partnerships can maximize resources, avoid unnecessary duplication, and glorify God. All HOPE-network partners benefit from access to funding, strategic planning, technical assistance, leadership development, capacity building, lateral learning opportunities, spiritual integration guidance and accountability, and prayer support.
No. We are a non-denominational, Christ-centered nonprofit organization that works in collaboration with many different churches and church denominations.
