What we're hearing from global families—and how we're responding
HOPE has long been committed to listening well to the men and women we serve. Amid the growing economic repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve continued to prioritize listening so we can better understand this crisis from their point of view.
As we’ve surveyed over 3,000 savings groups and touched base with over 11,000 entrepreneurs, we’re encouraged by the countless stories of people caring for one another. One savings group in rural Zimbabwe, for example, received training so they could go from home to home teaching families to avoid infection. They even set up a foot-powered handwashing station for their community.
