Join us in celebrating 20 years of ministry as Peter Greer, HOPE’s president and CEO, shares how families around the world are moving from poverty to flourishing.
Around the world, more than 2 billion people live on less than $3.10 a day, limiting access to basic necessities like food, shelter, and clean water. And since just one out of every four people living in low-income countries has a bank account, they lack the basic financial tools that could help them thrive. Without a secure place to save, these men and women are vulnerable to unexpected emergencies; without access to capital, they struggle to build businesses to better provide for their families.
At HOPE International, we’re passionate about investing in dreams. For 20 years, we’ve helped empower families by providing discipleship, biblically based training, a safe place to save, and small loans. We rejoice that over the past two decades, God has invited HOPE to join in His work of transformation!
A graduate of Harvard’s Kennedy School, Peter worked in Rwanda, Zimbabwe, and Cambodia prior to coming to HOPE in 2004. Peter is the co-author of several books, including The Spiritual Danger of Doing Good (2013), Mission Drift (2014), 40/40 Vision (2015), and Created to Flourish (2016). Peter lives in Lancaster, PA, with his wife, Laurel, and their three children. Follow Peter on his blog at www.peterkgreer.com or on Twitter @peterkgreer.
