Hands Up for Poverty

When we see photos or hear stories of people living in poverty, sometimes we see the poverty and not the person. Like each of us, those living in poverty are more than their surroundings or their economic status. They have stories, full of struggles but also successes. At HOPE International, we are seeking to redefine the poor. And because microfinance offers men and women a hand-up rather than a handout, we're asking you to lend a hand.

Send us a photo of a word on your hand describing the microentrepreneurs with whom HOPE works. Explain to us why you selected the word you did and we'll donate $5 per entry to provide microloans for the men and women who are overcoming poverty with HOPE's help. Thank you for providing a Hand Up!
